“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Rom. 8:28.
2 Questions below:
We know God only works according to His purpose, not ours. He’s not working to please us, He’s working out His perfect plan. Since we live in a fallen world, not everything that happens to us is “good.” Yet we know God is good and always does what is right.
We also know God is in control; He uses trials for His purpose, but also to help us to mature spiritually, which is good. He wants to make us more like Christ.
Because we look at the world and trials through the lens of knowing God is sovereign and good, the way we view life and react is different from the world’s mindset. We don’t fear or lose hope, even in the face of trials or persecution. Our hope is in things above not on earthly things.
And we also know that God is not the author of sin and evil, but He does use both sin and evil to accomplish His perfect and good plan, which will benefit us in ways we never thought possible. The cross is the ultimate example of this.
Jesus, the perfect, sinless, Son of God, was beaten, mocked, suffered, and died on a cross to purchase our salvation. He took our sin so that we could have His righteous. What men meant for evil, God used for our good, which is our redemption and sanctification.
2 Questions: In what ways do you think God is using this pandemic for good, His purpose, and His glory?
(Remember to keep His eternal purposes in mind with your answer in how He uses earthly things like health, money, politics, problems, and people, etc).
AND, how is the Lord working for “your” good through this pandemic?
(Again, remember to answer with a heavenly perspective, not a health and wealth or personal gain perspective).
